Description

A village of the Emishi people is lost somewhere in the mountains of medieval Japan. One day, this village is attacked by Nago, a giant vulture possessed by a hatred that has turned him into a demon. To save the village, the chief's son Ashitaka has to kill the cursed animal, but he himself is wounded in the arm by the beast, and with the wound the curse is passed on to him. Now, according to the traditions of the tribe, he must be banished, so that in exile he can find the way to healing or perish. Traveling in the outside world, Ashitaka witnesses and unwitting participant in the confrontation between the people of the Iron City led by Lady Eboshi and the beasts of the Ancient Forest led by the Spirit of the Forest with the gods Moro and Okkotonushi. The side of the forest is also occupied by Moro's adopted daughter, a human girl named San. The inhabitants of the forest are enraged by the behavior of the humans and will not tolerate any more abuse of their home. Ashitaka discovers that along with the curse, he has gained inhuman physical strength and stamina. Now he faces a difficult choice: Which side should he take? The humans? The forest? Or maybe he will be able to resolve this conflict peacefully without bloodshed?
